Here are some changes...
First thing was pulling off all the wallpaper...that took 2 weeks, then I tackled refinishing the bookcase...I used a deglosser then put primer on the entire bookcase except inside the cabinets. I chose a light cream color by Ralph Lauren then used their tea stain glaze over that...I topped it off with 2 coats of sealer to protect it all...I found a really neat site that will punch tin panels for two of my cabinet doors that had speaker fabric in it...so it will give it a farmy kind of look. The walls around the bookcase will be painted Whole wheat (SW) or Shelburne Buff (BM)....to go with the glazed cabinets I'm having made for the kitchen area.

Welcome to our Farm!
This blog is to share our renovating/remodeling experiences so others can share and exchange ideas...we've had our share of "oopsies" and we're still laughing, so all is good.
Here's a list of what we're doing...
1. Completing 1100 square feet of unifinished attic space. This will consist of 2 walk in attic storage areas, a full bathroom with pocket door inside, a large school room/media room, a bedroom for our girls and a reading nook about 11x22.
2. Reflooring most the house, sand and finish hardwoods, replacing adding carpets in all bedrooms and upstairs.
3. Taking out old kitchen and the wall separating it from great room, adding new cabinets/appliances.
4. Took down 3 rooms of wallpaper, ick, not fun.
5. Taking up linoleum and tiling all bathrooms and laundry.
I'll put the pictures in and let you follow along! :)
